2013 doesn’t feel like a real year.

I’m not sure why, but after a long succession of repeating digits (pointed out by a friend–1978 was the last time we had a year with entirely unique digits), the nice rounded 2s and 0s, or whatever else it is–2013 feels like a lie.

In case we’ve all suddenly been thrown into a Matrix-esque simulation to cover up the post-apocalyptic wasteland that is now the earth…I’m sorry.  We’ll meet in Hartford to begin planning the revolution.

That being said, I anticipate a great year for HartLife.  We’ll be going into production on Season Four very soon, we’re planning a number of panel appearances at Conventions around the Midwest and elsewhere, we’ll be doing a full hour show at the Chicago Fringe Festival in August/September, and with any luck, will have the chance to develop a few new Live Our Fair City experiences.

We’re also looking towards a second anthology of the Our Fair City Comic (you can pick up a copy of the first one here).

Also, keep a look out for a few more site upgrades, new pictures to reflect our growing staff and contributors, and much, much more.

It’s been an amazing 2012.  We hope to be able to bring you even more post-apocalyptic joy/despair in the new year.

See you in the tunnels,

VP Gardner
